ABOUT KARINA

So, what’s in a name?
Like the sound of a cruise ships horn ‘only sweeter!’

Ahoy there, Welcome aboard the official website of ACD Cruise Blogger Karina.

So what do I have to say about ‘ME?’  Well for starters I'm Karina, and I've been sharing my cruising experiences 2007.  I’m a Cruise Blogger with ship board experience; known for connecting with the guests, and supporting the official cruise staff during the voyages.  I currently have sixty-seven International Sea Days under my belt, I get 'cruuuuuise happy' every time I see a cruise ship, and if I could live on a cruise ship.. 'I would!'

I'm also a Nutrimetics Consultant, and an Australian Performer.  My theatre credits includes: Much Ado About Nothing, Joseph & the Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat, The Merry Widow, and the combined Production of Shakespeares Macbeth & King Lea.  I have also been a Hundred Wall Zoom Panelist on the Hundred with Andy Lee, and an Extra on Neighbours.  I also perform on cruise ships, and choreograph my own dance routines.  Now to get back to cruising.

I first discovered my passion for cruising back in the 1980's.  I was just a child when I saw the commercial advertising 'P&O's Fairstar the Funship' on TV.' A few years later, I saw the ship docked in Darling Harbour and I started dreaming about going on 'a two-week Fijian cruise,' and it finally came true in 2014 when I boarded the (late) Dawn Princess Cruise ship at Sydney's White Bay Wharf for my maiden voyage - a fourteen-night cruise to Fiji.  Not only was it my first time on board a Cruise ship; it was also my first time out of Australia, and I loved every moment of it... especially because my dream cruise to finally became a reality.  Two years later, I boarded the (late) Dawn Princess again for a two-week cruise to New Zealand to celebrate my birthday.  Although I got sea sick twice during the voyage; I loved every moment; especially being able to explore a new country.  This was actually when I started my Cruise Blog, and I’ve been writing about cruising ever since.

During a sea day, you'll often find me ‘swimming, enjoying a Cocktail, walking along the Promenade Deck, assisting the other guests at the onboard dancing classes, and in the Princess Theatre watching a movie.'  While at night, you'll often find me performing the famous ‘Sail Away Line Dance’ with the Princess team, singing on stage, assisting the ships official Cruise staff to entertain the other guests, interacting with the crew, wearing costumes at the ships theme nights, watching Movies under the Stars, and dancing the night away in the ships Night Clubs.'

Join me 'Cruise Blogger Karina,' as I keep you up to date with the latest cruise news blogs, share cruise tips, and talk about all things 'Cruising!'

 Bon Voyage, and happy cruising!

Reviews and comments

On the final night of my 2026 South Australian cruise with the Discovery Princess Jayson Douglass (my Cruise Director) personally thanked me for the ‘costumes I wore, and the input I gave during the cruise’ because it helped him to entertain the other guests.
